Natalia Almada

Recipient of the 2012 MacArthur “Genius” Award, Mexican-American director Natalia Almada combines artistic expression with social inquiry to make films that are both personal reflections and critical social commentaries. She is one of the most celebrated documentary filmmakers of the last two decades.

Her films have been screened at numerous film festivals including Tribeca, Sundance, Cannes, and New York Film Festival. She lives in Mexico City and San Francisco.
