Since the 19th century, cow breeding has been tied to progress in animal science. Genetics and new ways of rearing animals have accelerated bovine biological production and growth. These are no longer the same "cash cows" of yesteryear; humans have adapted cattle to meet our quantity and quality standards.

ANIMAL MACHINE investigates how, by changing the physical body of cows and manipulating its genetics, a new 21st-century farm animal is being built.
