Edgar is unemployed, and is running out of money. If he can't find work by the end of the week he will leave with his wife Angelica for the Colombian Coast. For Angelica, to leave Bogota means leaving her mother, her sister and, most painfully, her three-year old daughter.
Before they go they will have to sell all their possessions: a gas cylinder, a bed... And what about the child Angelica is carrying? Will they keep him, or give him up and sell him too?
Alone, Angelica is grappling with contradictory feelings, feelings made sharp by her mother and sister's words. She also fears the violent guerillas who might stop them on the road to the coast.
In this heartbreaking film from the VARAN WORKSHOP series, one event follows another, each more surprising. Successive revelations become increasingly frightening, though calmly expressed by the characters themselves, and are shot with intensifying surety by the young director.
