Celebrated actress Fanny Ardant stars as “France”, a well-to-do widow living alone in her Parisian apartment. When she hears on the radio that an NGO is pairing homeless refugees with those who have an available room, France decides to help. Through this, she meets a young Afghan refugee named Reza and, despite warnings from her friends and son, she welcomes him into her home and life. Inspired by the director's own experience, MYMOTHERLAND is a deeply personal film about two worlds that collide and come to a better place because of it. Starring Fanny Ardant, Nawid Elham, and Pierre Deladonchamps.

“A comedy that inspires hope!” —Ouest France

“[A] generous film full of tenderness.” —Télé 7 Jours

“Naturalistic and convincing...its timing could not be better considering current events." —FulvueDrivein

“The ever-luminous Fanny Ardant beautifully embodies the willful benevolence of a wealthy widow who takes an Afghan refugee into her home." Annette Insdorf, Columbia University
