This report covers the October 1991 Congress of Indigenous American Peoples held in Guatemala. A gathering of representatives from both continents, including the Quecha of Ecuador, the Aymara of Bolivia, the Maya of Guatemala, and the Cree of Canada, the congress provided a forum for native Americans to express their grievances and to protest the upcoming Columbus quinticentennial.
